The number is not an accusation, it is a description of what each plan is for. An AI agent that reasons over tools burns model tokens on every turn, and Botpress prices that reality honestly by putting the AI budget in the plan. A drawn flow that answers business hours, takes an order and hands the hard case to a person does not burn tokens on every turn, so it can be sold by the thousand. If your volume is hundreds of conversations a month and each one needs real reasoning, $0.60 may be the right price. If your volume is thousands of conversations that mostly follow a known path, it is not.
Auto-recharge is the part that surprises people
Read this one before you commit. The $0.10 of AI usage per conversation is an included balance, not a ceiling: when a conversation spends more than that, or when you go past the 250, the balance auto-recharges. The bill is therefore not the plan price, it is the plan price plus whatever your agents consumed, and a chattier month or a longer prompt moves it without you doing anything.
